Music can change your life

Most people intuitively know that listening to music when they are feeling down or depressed can bolster their spirits. However recent research studies have shown that music, especially certain tones can clinically reduce stress. Music can alter brainwave patterns, as can yoga, deep breathing, and meditation – and bring on what is known as the Alpha State. Alpha is described as a state of deep relaxation, where the mind is totally stress-free and more open to problem solving.
Science has shown that when children learn to play music, their brains begin to hear and process sounds that they couldn’t otherwise hear. This helps them develop “neurophysiological distinction” between certain sounds that can aid in literacy, which can translate into improved academic results for kids. Kids nowadays love music and I think every hit song that may be released could be their favorite and memorized it fast.

Lazaro Francisco

Lazaro Francisco (February 22, 1898 - 17 June 1980) was the fourth son of Eulogio Francisco and Clara Angeles. He was born in Orani, Bataan but go and eventually settled in Nueva Ecija.
He is considered one of the strong pillars of Filipino literature. Some of his novels are written the Wedding Rings, Basque Suicide, The Foot of the Cross, Northern Lights, Seeds and Fruit, Cesar, Wound, Memorial Day, Father Yet Beautiful World, and his latest novel, The Surf . Except the Basque suicide, all of his novel was published in Dawn.

Reflected in his novel that he enriched the literature of the country and tried to beautify the world in Filipino by his extraordinary language skills and involvement in the welfare and aspirations of the Filipino people.
He would later be recognized by literary critics and scholars as an icon in Tagalog literature, a visionary nationalist and social critic, for having written five highly acclaimed novels that are still relevant today and required readings in colleges and universities all over the country.
Although many influential literary scholars were more than convinced that he should be declared a National Artist for literature, it did not happen during his lifetime. We, his children, were under strict orders from him never to lobby for such honors. And as fate would have it, he did not live long enough to savor the honor of being a National Artist. It was a long, long wait before he was finally proclaimed National Artist for Literature in 2009. And, of course, that was a glorious vindication for him

ANTI-SMOKING CAMPAIGN ACT

"Pop music plays an important role in the life of a lot of young people. They often identify themselves with particular pop stars. The high credibility of the artists - who are non-smokers themselves - supports the message "Be cool - don't smoke" and underlines that non-smoking is "cool" and "in". As with the European football stars who appeared in the first ads of the campaign, the strong statements against smoking by these idols and role models will support young people in their decision not to smoke.
The campaign ads vary in the different Member States to take account of the popularity of individual stars in respective countries.
Music stars who speak out against smoking in the campaign ads are, among others: Moby ("In this world"), Sophie Ellis Bextor ("Murder on the dancefloor"), Tiziano Ferro ("Imbranato"), Natural ("Put your arms around me"), A-Teens ("Floor filler"), David Charvet ("Jusqu'au bout"), Billy Crawford ("You didn't expect that"), Leningrad Cowboys ("There must be an angel"), Loona ("Rhythm of the night"), Wonderwall ("Just more"), Liberty X ("Just a little"), Keti Garbi ("Ti theloun ta mati sou"), B3 ("I.O.I.O"), Chayenne ("Boom boom") and B4-4. B4-4 is also recording the official campaign song "Feel free to say no" which will be released in January.
The kick-off of the EU's anti-smoking campaign to help combat smoking among children and adolescents was supported by UEFA and the first campaign ads aired during the World Cup included non-smoking European football stars. Their commitment, their willingness to perform and their skills are positive characteristics with which young people identify." This article is what I have read about European Commission campaign abot anti-smoking. This campaign is effective because people nowadays are influenced by music a lot so this campaign is the effective and easiest way to attract people to stop smoking.

TATAY MONG KALBO

"Ang tatay mong kalbo" is a theatre play that is played in APC last October 2015.
It is directed by the following: Revvie Congson, Cled Francis Laranang and Ara Anthonette Conza.

It was played by: Marsha Beray | Mark Alwin Llanes | Aira Joyce Carpio | Shy Fajilagutan | JE Paul Monajan | Marlou Macalalad | Joshua Dave Berredo | Jericho Ramit

Based on what I had watch, I probably say that some scene on the play happens in real life. First of all , Mr. And Mrs. Santos continously arguing even if it's a small things to argue with like couples today, they are fighting that really cause them to break up to each other. Second,  Mr. And Mrs. Reyes are very sweet to each other and if one done something wrong they will resolve it by act of something sweet some keeps tickling ,cuddling etc. to ask for forgiveness.Lastly, General Hepe and Maria love affair which shows that some will easilly judge because they has a same gender like female between female and male between male. This theatrical play was boring at first but as the play goes on it was really funny and amazing. The play is kind of weird but it is worth to watch.

Turn Left, Turn Right

Turn Left, Turn Right

This movie is definitely one of the best movies. The way John and Eve didn't see each other it was perfect.  The life of John and Eve is empty and they are missing something. When one day they meet at a fountain by chance, they know what it is. Since their childhood, when John met Eve at a school trip, they were looking for each other. The two spend a nice day together, but a weather change forces them to depart in a hurry. They exchange phone numbers and go seperate paths again. Unluckily, the rain smeared the phone numbers and

the two don't even know the name of each other.

I liked the movie because the story was interesting and the actors were really good in portraying their roles. It was a fun and heartwarming movie that depicts how destiny can sometimes be playful on people. Some of the scenes were really quite unexpected.Overall, it may not be that outstanding but it is a satisfying and a nice movie to watch. It would show you how destiny can be cruel yet cool.

Thanks again Ms. Elize for the wonderful experience in watching these movie.

Heneral Luna

HENERAL LUNA

Did you already watched this movie? Do you plan to watch? Well, you really need to watch this movie. This movie is full of action and comedy scenes which you will really love. Heneral Luna is one of those rare Filipino films that's entertaining and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The film is based on the titular national hero Antonio Luna a Filipino general who believes he can turn the tide of war against in the invading Americans back then. He was also known for his temperamental yet tough love attitude towards his incompetent soldiers and political rivals.

Set in the war between Americans and Filipinos. The Americans are invading the Philippines until the Filipinos give up, this includes killing the lives of the innocent. The Philippine Government are conducting a plan while many want to negotiate for better profit. General Luna is there to stop the greed and focus and prioritize the state of the nation.

General Antonio Luna is infamous, mad, unafraid, furious and above all cares for his family, fellow-soldiers and country men. He will stop at nothing until he accomplish his mission of giving freedom to his country. He disciplines and trains the soldiers into making them independent and not some slackers or cowards within the war. He removes all the corrupted he can find. Inspiration is key and that's what he wants to show to all his soldiers.

This movie marks me a an article that I can't forget because of an article that General Luna used. He used "Artikulo Uno" that say antone that didn't follow the Commanding General will die instantly. That article is funny because he convinced 4000 peole in three days just to dig.

I have nothing much to say as this is indeed a great movie to watch and remember. Thanks for Ms. Elize for letting us watch the movie.

Basketball

"I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed."
                                          - Michael Jordan

Have you ever played basketball? Have you ever dreamed to be a professional basketball player? If you haven't played yet, you should try it for yourself.  Playing basketball is fun and watching a great game giving goosebumps to the fans. Playing basketball has a lot of requirements. When you really understand the game you will have passion to play and a reason to work hard.

Some people has a God given talent like they are really born to play it. Some are born to be athletic to play and also play other sports. But some are just hardworkers who trains hard and all the hardwork pays off. When hardwork works it really gives reward and accomplishment for the player.

Playing basketball isn't easy when you started to train with players and coach that is really passionate and has the will to play basketball. Understanding the game is interesting because we can learn to never give up because you failed, but to use that failure to succeed and improve.

Introduction to myself

"Hardwork beats talent when hardwork doesn't work hard"
                                                    -Kevin Durant

Hi, my name is Jerl Carlstein G. Ferrer. My 16 years of existence are probably at home, province, school and probably basketball court this places are the reason for what I am now. At home where I spend my time with my family like having bonding with them although there are some problems coming but we passed it and after the problems the blessing keeps coming. My Province where I grew is at Calasiao, Pangasinan the home of the little puto. This place is where I have time with my cousins and other relatives. My cousins are very special to me becuase they stood up to become my older brother and sister. School is the place where I learned a lot of things and met many great people that truly influenced me to be the person you knew. I graduated high school in Great Christian Academy and I'm now studying at Asia Pacific College. I experienced all things in High School like being the principal's office for some offense, writing 'I will not do it again' the never ending punishment and being a normal student. Now that I'm in college I promised to myself to never be in DO and never have repeated subjects. I met almost all of my friends at school and I have the best memories with them. The last and the best place for me is the basketball court. This place gives me new sets of brother and memories. This place always gets me happy, I always have fun there and I love playing my friends there and sometime we make money from it. These places really influenced me and created my personality. My life will be always in these places.

Hey, you could always find me at these places.
